The FDA Allows "skip-lot" testing and this allows many manufacturers to skip safety testing on imported material like resveratrol. We believe this practice may be dangerous and we do not do it ourselves. Always ask for the lab tests that show that your product has been tested for the presence of lead, mercury, and microbials such as E. Coli and Salmonella. Medications:
Taking large amounts of resveratrol may increase blood levels of drugs that are usually metabolized by CYP3A4. This simply means that calcium channel blockers, statins, some immunosuppressant drugs (like cyclosporine), and erectile dysfunction drugs such as sildenafil, may have increased blood levels. Please be cautious when taking resveratrol with anti coagulants or anti platelet drugs such as Plavix(r) (Clopidogrel). Please see label for additional information. Not for Children.
