MasterGene P16 -Cellular Cleanse.

MasterGene P16 (MGP16):

This new product was formulated to support activation of the gene P16 using an herbal ingredient. The gene we aim to help activate with this product works well with another master gene called P53, which Resveratrol has been known to activate according to studies we have seen.

We recommend taking both of these to support mutation free cell division as you age. Typically P16 and P53 are used to identify cells with errors or mutations, and these will then either help repair or destroy them to protect the organism.

Unfortunately this may not help the few people that may have their P16 and P53 Genes already mutated or have mutated genes inherited from their parents. However for most folks without this issue, we provide these products to help support their healthy genes for a longer period of time.

Some links regarding Telomere health and it's affects

In December we have a few studies regarding Telomeres.

First, in the University Children's Hospital, Heidelberg, Germany it was found that mice with critical telomere shortening have reduced regenerative capacity in response to healing (Link). At Emory University, In Atlanta, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) accelerates the aging process of the immune system as (RA) T cells fail to induce sufficient amounts telomerase, leaving telomeric ends uncapped and thus susceptible to damage (Link). Findings from the Health ABC Study, suggest telomere length may serve as a biomarker for cognitive aging as short telomeres have been associated with Alzheimer's (Link).

At this time UCLA's study using Cycloastragenol appears to be one of a few studies showing telomerase activation by an herbal source in human blood cells.

Some links on interesting November studies

Resveratrol continues to be a strong candidate for animal and lab studies around the world:

A study at the Université Paris Sud-XI, France suggest that caloric restriction and resveratrol extend longevity in experimental settings through autophagy (Link). In Harbin Medical University, China evidence suggests resveratrol protects cardiomyocytes from cisplatin-induced cardiotoxicity via the suppression of oxidative stress (Link). In Wuhan University, China another study documents the first in vivo evidence that resveratrol could exert neuroprotective effect against ischemia injury during ischemia/reperfusion (Link). In Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, In Vivo findings suggest that reveratrol could be an important chemoprevention agent for bladder cancer (Link). LAst but not least, in Panjab University, India, the combination of curcumin and resveratrol to mice with lung carcinogenesis, shows significant improvements over resveratrol or curcumin alone (Link).

I mentioned this last month, however I believe I need to repeat this bit of information again regarding Zinc ions: In excessive amounts these can strongly inhibit SIRT1. The study states that SIRT1 activity suppressed by the exogenous Zn(2+) can be fully recovered by the metal chelator EDTA but not by the activator resveratrol (link). Although Zinc is essential in brain function, excessive Zinc released in the body has been linked to brain injury and death after cardiac arrest or other trauma (link) & (link).

Although the studies are far from complete for humans, they may help determine new treatments for a variety of these issues sometime in the future.
